Project Overview

150 West 56th Street in Manhattan (10019) is an exterior building envelope restoration that Altius CM completed. The core of the job was the stone facade: crack, joint and deterioration repair to the stone panels, repair of deteriorated concrete and stone side panels, and repair of rusted steel.

Windows and an emergency roof

The scope also covered access to broken exterior window glass and replacement of deteriorated window sealant. During the work, window work and an emergency roof replacement at the penthouse were added to the contract once the condition was found.

Protection and site safety

The job ran under a sidewalk shed with a Tenant Protection Plan (TPP), and site safety covered roof protection, SSM, QPSS and a site safety plan (SSP).
